Regular Season Round 11: Guaynabo - Manati 85-81

Date: March 29, 2015
Rather expected game when 10th ranked Manati (3-7) lost to eighth ranked Mets (5-6) in Guaynabo 81-85 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 29-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona St. CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 6 assists. American forward Will Daniels (203-86, college: Rhode Island) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (206-85, college: Maryland) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and international power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Manati. Four Manati players scored in double figures. Mets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mayaguez. Manati lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Mets will face bottom-ranked Caciques (#12) in Humacao in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Manati will play on the road against Cangrejeros in Santurce and hope to win that game.
