There was an upset in Santurce where higher ranked Cangrejeros (6-4) were edged by eleventh ranked Manati (4-7) 71-69 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 21-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and Nigerian-American power forward Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (206-85, college: Maryland) who added 9 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Brian Conklin (198-89, college: St.Louis) with 15 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Dallas Logan (193-82, college: Northwood, agency: Tycoon Sports Inc.) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Manati maintains eleventh position with 4-7 record. Loser Cangrejeros dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Manati will face bottom-ranked Caciques (#12) in Humacao in the next round.
