Quarter-Finals Round 5: PeKa - HyPo 77-56

PeKa overcame HyPo in the decisive fifth game of the series and reached the semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Peli-Karhut. HyPo managed to win second period 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Peli-Karhut outrebounded HyPo 47-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. American swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Natasha Thames (183-91, college: Temple) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier, agency: Regeneracom Sports) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Titta-Riina Lepisto (184-90) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for HyPo.
