Semi-Finals Game 1: Northland - Sallen 84-42

Northland opened win count in the semifinal series versus Sallen. Northland led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sallen to just 7 points in first quarter. Northland dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sallen's 28. They outrebounded Sallen 46-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Northland looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Sallen's players. American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Northland players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international Kadidja Andersson (183-80, college: Minnesota) responded with 14 points and American swingman Christy Bacon (182-80, college: Wyoming) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
