Maccabi Ashdod upset Bnot Herzeliya on the road and advanced into D1 Finals. Bnot Hertzeliya trailed 37-35 at halftime, rallying from a 24-11 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Maccabi Ashdod made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Maccabi Ashdod outrebounded Bnot Hertzeliya 33-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Tiffany Jackson (191-85, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) replied with 26 points and her fellow American import guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) added 13 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Bnot Hertzeliya.
