Venezia dismantled Umbertide to take 1-0 lead in the series. The game without a history. Venezia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Venezia forced 23 Umbertide turnovers and outrebounded them 32-19 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Venezia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Umbertide's players. Slovakian center Marie Ruzickova (189-86, agency: LBM Management) fired 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Aneika Henry (193-86, college: Florida) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Venezia players scored in double figures. Venezia's coach Andrea Liberalotto felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jillian Robbins (190-84, college: Tulsa, agency: LBM Management) produced 12 points and American-Greek guard Jacki Gemelos (182-88, college: USC) added 10 points respectively for lost side.
