Regular Season Round 28: Tortona - Legnano 92-83
Date: April 4, 2015
Very expected game when 13th ranked Legnano (11-17) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Tortona (15-13) 92-83. Strangely Legnano outrebounded Tortona 38-25 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Legnano's players. The winners were led by American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) who scored that evening 16 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) supported him with 16 points. Four Tortona players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds by American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St.) did not help to save the game for Legnano. The former international point guard Fabio Di Bella (187-78) added 23 points for lost side. Tortona moved-up to seventh place. Legnano at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Latina Basket. Tortona will play against league's leader Treviso Basket on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Legnano will play against Naturhouse Ferrara (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
