Regular Season Round 30: Bordeaux - Mulhouse 80-82

A very interesting game took place in Bordeaux. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 11th ranked JSA Bordeaux (14-15) to tenth ranked Mulhouse Basket (16-12) 82-80 on Saturday evening. JSA Bordeaux was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 24-14 charge of Mulhouse Basket, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by JSA Bordeaux helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Jeremy Bichard (187-90) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 assists. American-Jamaican Ronald Yates (200-83, college: St.Peter's) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Mulhouse Basket players scored in double figures. Mulhouse Basket's coach Jamel Benabid allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American-Jamaican forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and American-Ivorian guard Errick Craven (185-83, college: USC) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for JSA Bordeaux. Mulhouse Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with GET Vosges. JSA Bordeaux at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Mulhouse Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked UB Chartres (#7) at home and it may be quite challenging game. JSA Bordeaux will play against the league's second-placed Saint Vallier (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
