Regular Season Round 15: Quebradillas - Guaynabo 89-84

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Quebradillas (6-9) defeated at home higher ranked Mets (7-8) 89-84 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 32-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Haitian guard Eniel Polynice (195-88, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward William Orozco (201-85) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Quebradillas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona St. CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) with 26 points and the former international Larry Ayuso (190-77, college: USC, agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 25 points. Quebradillas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Mayaguez. Mets at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Quebradillas will face higher ranked Manati (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
