The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Ironi Ashkelon's (11-15) road victory over 11th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (9-16) 72-66 on Tuesday. Hapoel Kfar Saba was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Ironi Ashkelon made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jonathan Mitchell (200-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) added 15 points in the effort for Hapoel Kfar Saba. Ironi Ashkelon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Maccabi H/H. Hapoel Kfar Saba at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Ironi Ashkelon will face higher ranked Hapoel Afula (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Maccabi Raanana (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
