Finals Game 1: Hamar - FSU 86-69

Hamar got to the winning start of D1 Finals. They coasted past FSU at home court. The game without a history. Hamar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to FSU's 36. They outrebounded FSU 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Julian Nelson (190, college: Coker) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Orn Sigurdarson (202-89) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Hamar players scored in double figures. American forward Collin Pryor (198, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Hlynur Hreinsson (174-92) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for FSU. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
