Sagesse earned the opening victory in the quarterfinal series versus Homenetmen. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 26-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Homenetm. B outrebounded Sagesse 51-30 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Desmond Penigar (201-81, college: Utah St.) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Daniel Faris (206-87, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati) answered with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) added 13 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Homenetm. B. Five Homenetm. B players scored in double figures.
