Regular Season Round 31: St Vallier - Bordeaux 73-100

The game between second ranked Saint Vallier (20-9) and thirteenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (15-15) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Saint Vallier was crushed by JSA Bordeaux in Saint Vallier 100-73. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Saint Vallier. The game was mostly controlled by JSA Bordeaux. Saint Vallier managed to win fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JSA Bordeaux dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Saint Vallier's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Ivorian guard Errick Craven (185-83, college: USC) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Tunisian power forward Mehdi Labeyrie-Hafsi (202-78) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. JSA Bordeaux's coach Regis Racine felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Harry Disy (200-84, college: Louisiana Tech) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Mali forward Mamadou Sy (196-85, college: Cloud County CC) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with La Rochelle. Saint Vallier at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. JSA Bordeaux is looking forward to face higher ranked Sorgues BC (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saint Vallier will play against UB Chartres (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
