Pinheiros/Sky fired past Brasilia to level the series at 1-1. Brasilia was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Pinheiros, which allowed them to win the game. They made 32-of-39 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Brasilia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Jason Smith (183-83, college: Al.-Huntsville) scored 30 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Joe Smith (193-77, college: Al.-Huntsville) chipped in 12 points and 12 assists during the contest. Pinheiros' coach Marcel de Souza allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Fulvio de Assis (188-81) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
