An interesting game where host Vendee Challans (#7) won against 4th placed Lourdes-Tarbes 77-64 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Bahamas power forward Lavar Simmons (201-83, college: Master's) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Tony Ramphort (173-82) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists. Five Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Ivorian-American power forward Jonathan Kale (204-85, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vendee Challans (19-11) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Vendee Challans will meet ADA Blois (#5) on the road in the next round. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against JA Vichy and hope to secure a win.
