Regular Season Round 28: CBA Gran Canaria - Guadalajara 50-63

Very expected game when 11th ranked CBA Gran Canaria (9-17) was defeated at home by third ranked CB Guadalajara (18-8) 63-50 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by CB Guadalajara. CBA Gran Canaria managed to win fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Nigerian power forward Danny Agbelese (206-90, college: Hampton) fired 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Roberto Guerra (196-83) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Jacobo Diaz (195-96) added 4 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Guadalajara have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-8 record having five points less than leader Caceres. CBA Gran Canaria lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 17 games lost. CB Guadalajara will meet at home Cambados (#7) in the next round. CBA Gran Canaria will play against Zornotza (#4) in Amorebieta-Echano and hope to secure a win.
