Brasilia knocked down Pinheiro/Sky to surge ahead in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pinheiros won third quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brasilia made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Pinheiros was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points. The former international Arthur Silva (196-82) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Lamonte is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American point guard Joe Smith (193-77, college: Al.-Huntsville) with 22 points and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (201-86) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Four Pinheiros players scored in double figures.
