Leader Capitanes delivered the thirteenth win on Tuesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Mets (9-10) 90-78 in Guaynabo. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mets. The game was mostly controlled by Capitanes. Mets managed to win third quarter 31-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capitanes dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Mets' 36. International forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona St. CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced 18 points and 9 assists and American forward Will Daniels (203-86, college: Rhode Island) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Capitanes and five Mets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Capitanes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-5 record. Mets at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with San German and Quebradillas. Capitanes are looking forward to face Manati (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mets will play against Brujos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
