An interesting game took place in Istanbul where higher ranked Meliksah (18-12) was upset on the court of seventeenth ranked Pertevniyal (9-21) 81-73 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Meliksah. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 45-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Center Emircan Kosut (216-95) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists during the contest.
