Regular Season Round 52: Saitama Bron. - Yokohama BC 94-90

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Saitama Broncos (6-43) defeated at home 10th ranked Yokohama BC (15-34) 94-90 on Saturday. Yokohama BC was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 28-23 charge of Saitama Broncos, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Gary Johnson (198-91, college: Albany) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Koji Nagata (180-81) contributed with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 30 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Carl Hall (201-89, college: Wichita St.) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Four Saitama Broncos and five Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos moved-up to eleventh place. Yokohama BC at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 34 games lost. Saitama Broncos will face again higher ranked Yokohama BC (#10) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
