The game between Top Four teams took place in Zagreb. Top-ranked host Cibona (6-0) defeated 4th ranked Kvarner (3-3) 88-72. The game without a history. Cibona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Cibona had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized Serbian Marko Jagodic Kuridza (205-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Power forward Ante Zizic (210-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Cibona players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Marijan Cakarun (204-90) who recorded 27 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Dino Cinac (201-88, agency: Court Side) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cibona maintains first position in Places 1-8 with 6-0 record. Loser Kvarner keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Cibona will meet Alkar Sinj (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kvarner will play against KK Zadar (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
