Finals Game 1: KR - Tindastoll 94-74

KR fired past Tindastoll in the opening game of the championship series. The game without a history. KR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Tindastoll's 30. They outrebounded Tindastoll 61-29 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. KR looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KR made 13 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 blocks. The former international guard Brynjar Bjornsson (188-88, college: Francis Marion) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four KR players scored in double figures. Swingman Helgi Viggosson (189-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Petur Runar Birgisson (185-96) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Tindastoll. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
