Kumanovo 2009 (#5) forced the game against Karpos Sokoli (#3) into an overtime, but lost by three points 95-98 on Thursday night. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 32-20 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. Karpos Sokoli forced 23 Kumanovo 2009 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Serbian point guard Igor Mijajlovic (194-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 assists for the winners. Serbian center Dusan Knezevic (207-80, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Karpos Sokoli's coach Aleksandar Petrovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian swingman Vukasin Mandic (200-82) produced 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Beo Basket) added 29 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Karpos Sokoli and four Kumanovo 2009 players scored in double figures. Karpos Sokoli maintains third position with 13-7 record behind leader Goce Delchev. Kumanovo 2009 at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Karpos Sokoli will face Kozuv (#6) in Gevgelija in the next round. Kumanovo 2009 will play at home against Feni Industries and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
