Quarter-Finals Round 2: Limeira - Brasilia 85-93

Brasilia bounced back from the starting loss and upset Limeira on the road. Winner/Limeira trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 28-24 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-93 at the end of the game. Brasilia made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Brasilia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. International Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey) supported him with 23 points and 4 assists. Lamonte is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Brasilia's coach Jose Carlos Vidal used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American guard David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) did not help to save the game for Winner/Limeira. The former international point guard Welington Dos Santos (185-81) added 16 points and 4 assists for the hosts.
