Villeneuve overcame Bourges in the opening game of the LFB Finals. Villeneuve D'Ascq led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bourges to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Bourges 41-21 including 28 on the defensive glass. American forward Megan Mahoney (183-83, college: Kansas St., agency: LBM Management) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners.
