The game was mostly controlled by Taipower. Chunghwa Telecom managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chunghwa Telecom 43-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. International guard Yu-Chun Wei (176-92) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and the former international guard Hsien-Fang Lin (168-91) chipped in 8 points and 6 assists. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Jia-Wei Liu (175-88) responded with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Wei-Lin Wang (180-93) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds.
