Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Shimane Magic (21-30) defeated at home 9th ranked Bambitious Nara (12-39) 77-70 on Saturday. Bambitious Nara was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-15 charge of Shimane Magic, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Jared Carter (216-86, college: Kentucky) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Shimane Magic have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 21-30 record. Bambitious Nara lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 39 games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Bambitious Nara (#10) at home in the next round.
