It was a good game for American forward Lorrenzo Wade (198-85, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Weyinmi Rose contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Manati players scored in double figures. American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American forward Nikko Acosta (205-89, college: Lamar, agency: Tycoon Sports Inc.) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Caciques. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Manati moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Mayaguez and Quebradillas. Caciques lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Manati's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maratonistas (#6) in Coamo and it may be quite challenging game. Caciques will play at home against the league's second-placed Cangrejeros (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
