UBA snatched a road win over Sagesse in the semifinal series opener. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-15. But Sagesse won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bosnian-Serbian center Ratko Varda (212-79, agency: Beo Basket) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Elie Roustom (197-87) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Terrence Leather (204-81, college: S.Florida) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.
