Chunghwa Telecom trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 35-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Center Pei-Jun Xie (181-91) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Li-Yun Wang (176-85) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Chunghwa Telecom players scored in double figures. The former international guard Shih-Chieh Chang (172-86) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and the former international center Chi-Wen Lin (186-83) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
