Groningen celebrated a road win over Leiden to step closer to the Finals. Leiden was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 45-33 second half run of Groningen. They made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game, while Leiden only scored eight points from the stripe. Leiden was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American-Mexican Mark Sanchez (201-87, college: Boise St., agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Lance Jeter (190-88, college: Nebraska) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Leiden's coach Eddy Casteels rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
