Mogi das Cruzes upset Bauru on the road in the semifinal series opener. Paschoalotto/Bauru was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 27-14 charge of Mogi, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Paschoalotto/Bauru's 22. Mogi forced 20 Paschoalotto/Bauru turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 27 points.
