Real Madrid earned the Liga Endesa title. They surprised Regal FC Barcelona on the road tonight to complete the sweep of the championship series. The victory marked the second Liga Endesa title in three last editions of the championship for Real Madrid. Regal FC Barcelona was trailing by 14 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Real Madrid, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. It was a great evening for American-Azerbaijani guard Jaycee Carroll (188-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) helped adding 11 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) with 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 14-of-15 shooting from the field) and Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) scored 10 points and 8 assists. Four Real Madrid and five Regal FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
