Argentina held off Brazil to stay undefeated in Edmonton. Debora Gonzalez and Andrea Boquete Manna scored 12 points each to pace the winners as they claimed the top position in Group B. Argentina got to a strong start to the game. They reeled off to a 38:24 halftime lead. Brazil narrowed the gap at 6-point mark at the final break. They sank 20 points in the fourth period but could not avoid the loss. Melisa Gretter notched 10 points for Argentina. Iziane Castro Marques responded with 25 points for Brazil.
