Venezuela earned the fifth position in Edmonton. They knocked down Puerto Rico in the final game at the tournament and clinched their Olympic Games Qualifying tournament birth. Daniela Wallen posted 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Cleyder Blanco added 17 points in the victory. Yashira Delgado and Marie Placido responded with 11 points each for Puerto Rico.
