Argentina earned the Bronze medals in Edmonton. They held off Brazil in the consolation final. Celia Fiorotto provided 13 points to pace the winners. Argentina built an 18:13 lead after the opening quarter. They stretched the lead at 6-point mark at the interval 30:24. Argentina stayed in charge throughout the third term. They entered the fourth period up by 8 points 49:41. Brazil narrowed the gap in the final stanza but could not threaten Argentina on their way to the win. Macarena Rosset, Ornella Santana and Sthefany Thomas posted 8 points each for the winners. Gilmara Justino responded with 19 points for Brazil. Iziane Castro Marques had 11 points in the loss.
