An interesting game for Bucaros (13-0) which hosted in 4th ranked Astros (8-5). Top-ranked Bucaros managed to get a 5-point victory 62-57. Astros were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Bucaros dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Astros' 22. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Demercy (201-88, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Horace Wormely (168-84, college: Vanguard) who added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTRGV) with 17 points and international point guard Leonardo Salazar (175-93) scored 17 points and 5 steals. Bucaros have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Newly promoted Bucaros maintains first position with 13-0 record. Astros lost fourth consecutive game. Astros at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Aguilas. Bucaros will again play against Astros (#4) in the next round. Astros will have a break next round.
