Regular Season Round 8: Liga Sorocaba - Paulistano 88-85

There was a change at the Paulista leadership position after last games. Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Paulistano (5-2). They were edged by eleventh ranked Liga Sorocaba (2-4) 88-85 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Paulistano. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 26-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Liga Sorocaba moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Pinheiros/Sky and Limeira. Paulistano at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Mogi das Cruzes. They were replaced at the leadership position by Rio Claro. Paulistano will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Liga Sorocaba will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Pinheiros in Sao Paolo.
