Philippines survived an overtime drama against Kazakhstan and advanced into Level I playoffs. Merenciana Arayi came up with 28 points to lead the winners. Philippines eked out a 33:32 halftime lead. Kazakhstan picked up the tempo in the third term. The Kazakh team recorded a 6-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. But Philippines limited their opponents to just 8 points in the fourth stanza and forced overtime. Philippines knocked down 17 points in the extra period and sealed the winning outcome. Allana Lim finished with 17 points in the victory. Tamara Yagodkina and Oxana Ossipenko responded with 19 points each for Kazakhstan.
