Regular Season Round 3: SBS Ostrava - Strakonice 70-61

SBS Ostrava used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Strakonice 70-61. SBS Ostrava dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Strakonice's 32. SBS Ostrava forced 22 Strakonice turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American Vee Young (186-89, college: Martin Methodist) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian guard Latinka Dusanic (178-90) accounted for 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Michaela Gaislerova (179-97) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Michaela Drachovska (183-86) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Strakonice in the defeat. Four Strakonice players scored in double figures. SBS Ostrava's next round opponent will be Sokol Hradec Kralove (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Strakonice will play against Karlovy Vary (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
