El Salvador stepped onto the pedestal in San Jose. They edged hosting Costa Rica to gain the Bronze medals at the championship. Vanessa Aguilar scored 16 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and issued 5 assists to lead the winners. El Salvador recorded a 32:17 halftime lead. Costa Rica narrowed the deficit at 9-point mark heading into the fourth frame. But El Salvador used a 15:6 run in the final period to ice the victory. Aida Funes delivered 13 points for the winners. Mariana Villalobos answered with 15 points for Costa Rica.
