Regular Season Round 2: KFUM Central - Ostersund 76-56

There was no surprise in Stockholm where Ostersund (1-2) was crushed by KFUM Central (1-0) 76-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Central. Ostersund was better in fourth quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Central forced 23 Ostersund turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KFUM Central made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was swingman Johan Westerlund (191-84) who scored 32 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. KFUM Central's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Olle Lundqvist (199-99) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and Rasmus Willers added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. KFUM Central will face LF Future (#5) in Lulea in the next round. Ostersund will play at home against KFUM Fryshuset and hope to win that game.
