Regular Season Round 2: Monaco - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 90-82

There was a minor upset when Pau-Lacq-Orthez (1-1) was defeated on the road by Monaco (1-1) 90-82. Pau-Lacq-Orthez was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 51-35 second half run of Monaco. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, college: Hofstra) notched 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized Ghanian Billy Ouattara (191-92) supported him with 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 17 points by American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) did not help to save the game for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. His fellow American import point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) added 19 points for the guests. Monaco's next round opponent will be JSF Nanterre at home and it may be quite challenging game.
