Regular Season Round 4: Petrochema - Telsiai 70-60

Everything could happen in Jonava at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Petrochema and 6th ranked Telsiai had identical 2-1 record. This time Petrochema used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Telsiu 70-60 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Petrochema led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Petrochema had a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (185-85) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (203-90) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Petrochema's coach Kestutis Narusevicius used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Laurynas Kaveckis (190-90) responded with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Audrius Maneikis (203-84, college: Motlow St. CC) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Petrochema (3-1) moved-up to third place, which they share with Silute and Palanga. Newly promoted Telsiai keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Nafta-Uni. and Zalgiris II. Petrochema will meet at home Palanga (#4) in the next round. Telsiai will play against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga and hope to secure a win.
