Regular Season Round 1: Kozuv - Rabotnicki 88-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Rabotnicki (0-1) in Gevgelija. Visitors were rolled over by Kozuv (1-0) 88-67. It looked good early as Rabotnicki took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kozuv had a 23-10 second period charge getting the lead and Rabotnicki was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-88. Kozuv dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Rabotnicki's 30. They outrebounded Rabotnicki 46-17 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bosnian-Serbian point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Bosnian-Serbian center Ratko Varda (212-79, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Dimitar Mirakovski (177-81, agency: Interperformances) responded with 11 points and 5 assists and the former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (206-88, agency: 011 Sports) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kozuv will play against Feni Industries in Kavadarci in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rabotnicki will play at home against Best Gevgelija (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
