Regular Season Round 3: Challans - Lourdes 86-88 OT

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Vendee Challans (2-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Lourdes-Tarbes (3-0) in overtime 88-86. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 26-24 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 2-point victory in overtime. Lourdes-Tarbes made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Alliman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (180-87) with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and DR Congolese-Belgian forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-92) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Lourdes-Tarbes and four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes are looking forward to face SAP Vaucluse in Sorgues in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vendee Challans will play on the road against Rueil and is hoping to win this game.
