Rather expected game in Brno where 9th ranked SBS Ostrava (2-4) was defeated by seventh ranked Zabiny (3-2) 84-67. The game without a history. Zabiny led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Serbian forward Maja Vucurovic (187-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) notched 31 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international swingman Hana Horakova (182-79) supported her with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Even a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds by American Vee Young (186-89, college: Martin Methodist) did not help to save the game for SBS Ostrava. Serbian guard Latinka Dusanic (178-90) added 18 points. Zabiny moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Valosun Brno. SBS Ostrava at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Karlovy Vary and Slovanka MB. Zabiny will play against Karlovy Vary (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. SBS Ostrava will play against USK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
