Hitachi Cougars (0-1) recorded a loss in Hitachinaka on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Toyota A. (2-1) 76-43. The game without a history. Toyota A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 30. They outrebounded Hitachi Cougars 50-34 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toyota A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Mori Binge (180-88) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. International forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kasumi Takahashi (167-87) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and power forward YouLiai Yunashi-Ai (175-91) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyota A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nagoya .
