Regular Season Round 6: Suduva-Mantinga - Petrochema 79-64

Rather expected game in Marijampole where 5th ranked Petrochema (3-3) was defeated by third ranked Suduva-Mantinga (5-1) 79-64. The game was mostly controlled by Suduva-Mantinga. Petrochema was better in third quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Suduva-Mantinga won last quarter 23-9. Forward Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and guard Tautvydas Kliucinykas (187-95) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by forward Tomas Milinskas (202-90) did not help to save the game for Petrochema. Forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (203-90) added 11 points. Petrochema's coach Kestutis Narusevicius rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Suduva-Mantinga moved-up to second place, which they share with Palanga. Petrochema at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Ezerunas-Karys (#13) in Moletai in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Petrochema will play on the road against Lietkabelis-2 (#14) in Panevezys and hopes to get back on the winning track.
