Regular Season Round 3: MMCITE Brno - J.Hradec 79-84

Very predictable result when BK Lions Hradec (2-1) defeated on the road MMCITE Brno (0-2) 84-79 on Saturday. BK Lions Hradec forced 20 MMCITE Brno turnovers. Strangely MMCITE Brno outrebounded BK Lions Hradec 47-30 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Stephon Lamar (184, college: Pacific) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Josh Nofflet (194-88, college: Lee) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) who recorded 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Filip Smid (194-92) added 7 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MMCITE Brno's coach Tomas Petivlas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BK Lions Hradec will meet at home CEZ Nymburk (#5) in the next round. MMCITE Brno will play against BK Opava (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
